My inspiration for this project was the setting on the golf course, and my client’s cat, charcoal grey with lime green eyes. My projects are always personal. The scheme is all shades of grey and green with platinum accents.

This was a 90-day renovation, three stories, down to the studs and back up again with completely new furnishings, HVAC systems, windows, floorcoverings and more. We opened up the main entry as well as the wall to the kitchen/dining room.

The client was terrific. She understood that the fastest way to do this was to move out. She was nearby but never visited without being asked, she had complete trust. As with all of my projects I created a single color theme, in this case charcoal grey, silver and lime green, and wove it uniquely throughout creating continuity, but never boring. It was great fun to incorporate original artwork and include one of Kathleen Plate’s commissioned glass wall waterfalls in the stairwell.

We used a lot of textured materials for durability and comfort. I am advocate balancing wood, stone, glass, metal, and textiles for a truly harmonious design. And when you create a cohesive flow, it allows pieces to be moved from room to room with ease.
