Mission Cooking
The kitchen had been redone by the previous owners and was a major selling point for someone that enjoys cooking and entertaining. We added the left pantry cabinet and desk area to accommodate the client's work at home needs. We also added the tile backsplash with a nod to travels overseas, using Portuguese tiles to accent. The cabinetry is Hickory, a more interesting wood choice than oak, and the styling is Arts and Crafts, bungalow suitable. The both practical and handsome granite finishes the look with wrought iron stools at the bar. A pot rack may be a future addition.
About the Client
A successful single in the financial services industry, she has traveled widely and lived abroad. She enjoys cooking and frequent house guests and parties, and collecting art and wine. With investments in the market and real estate, she wanted her home to reflect her personal taste and style, and showcase treasured pieces. She shares her homes with two energetic canines.
