Heirloom Country Dining
This is the heirloom quilt we used to start the project! It is a most suitable display for the large dining wall and helps with acoustics in the vaulted room. Another glorious art glass chandelier is the light source for the dining room. The table and chairs have Jacobean overtones and present a casual rustic appeal.
About the Client
With friends vacation homes in the area, my client wanted to find a weekend getaway. This three bedroom, two bath home was a great layout, but required a real face lift. With new flooring, all new wall colors, all baths and the kitchen completely gutted and redone, and the horrendous popcorn ceilings scraped down, the vision for a place to entertain friends and get away from Atlanta began to show through. We established the color scheme based on a couple of antique quilts, and moved immediately into rug choices, with a family of Soumak and Nourmak weaves in lively yellow golds and crimsons.
